Texas has more youth cricket programs than any other state we track. This page helps families find academies, clubs and coaching programs across the Dallas–Fort Worth, Houston and Austin areas.
We currently feature 16 verified youth cricket programs across those three metros. Listings on this page meet a higher current-verification threshold than our national directory: each one links to the program’s own website or official listing, and we publish only details those sources currently state.
This is not a complete list of every youth cricket program in Texas. If we cannot currently verify a program, we leave it off this page rather than publish details we cannot stand behind.

Dallas–Fort Worth
11 VERIFIED PROGRAMS
The largest concentration of youth cricket in Texas, spread across Dallas, Frisco, McKinney, Lewisville, Southlake and surrounding suburbs. Programs here range from indoor facilities open year-round to outdoor grass grounds running weekend sessions.
McKinney, Frisco, Allen, Little Elm
Boys and girls from age 5. Age groups U11 through U17.
Southlake
Ages 7 and above. Outdoor grass at Southlake Cricket Ground, Bob Jones Park. Sundays 5–7pm. ICC Level 1 head coach. Non-profit, run by the Southlake Foundation.
Lewisville
Ages 8 and above. ECB-qualified head coach with a six-strong coaching team. Indoor, year-round. Youth and women’s development.
Houston
3 VERIFIED PROGRAMS
Programs in Houston and the western suburbs of Katy, Cinco Ranch and Sugar Land.
Katy / Houston
Led by head coach Sushil Nadkarni, a former USA captain who also played India Under-19s and Ranji Trophy cricket.
Austin
2 VERIFIED PROGRAMS
Central Texas programs serving Austin, Round Rock and Cedar Park.
Austin, Round Rock, Cedar Park
Identifies itself as an official USA Cricket development hub. Age-group tracks at U11, U13 and U15.
What to Ask Before You Enroll
The programs above differ from one another in ways that matter. These are the questions worth asking before you commit, drawn from the differences we found between them.
Which age groups does the program run?
Some take children from age 5, others start at 7 or 8, and some cap at 13 or 15. A few run structured age-group teams at U11, U13 and U15; others coach in mixed sessions.
Indoor, outdoor, or both?
Several Dallas-area programs are indoor facilities open year round. Others train on outdoor grass and follow the season. In Texas summers and winter evenings, this affects how often your child actually plays.
Beginner or competitive?
Some programs describe themselves as beginner and intermediate coaching. Others run a high-performance pathway aimed at representative selection. Both are useful; they are not the same thing.
Year-round or seasonal?
Ask when sessions run and whether there is a break. A year-round indoor program and a Sunday-afternoon seasonal club suit different families.
Group sessions, private coaching, or both?
At least one program offers private lessons alongside group training. If your child wants focused technical work, ask whether that is available.
Are there matches, or only training?
Some programs are attached to a league and play fixtures. Others are training-only. If your child wants to compete, ask what the match calendar looks like.
Are girls playing in the program?
Some programs explicitly encourage girls or run women’s development alongside youth coaching. Others do not say. It is a fair and useful question to ask directly.
What are the coach’s qualifications?
Coaching credentials vary widely. Some programs publish ICC or ECB coaching qualifications, or are led by former international and first-class players. Others do not state qualifications at all.
How far will you actually be travelling?
Several programs operate across multiple suburbs rather than one address. Confirm which location your child would train at, and how often.
