USJL 2026: Adnit Jhamb’s 97, Matthew Tromp’s Sixes and the Standout Players So Far

The third edition of the US Junior League (USJL) got under way on Friday, October 9 at the Prairie View Cricket Complex near Houston. It’s a franchise T20 competition for players aged 14 to 23, with squads built through a live draft that mixes U16, U19 and U23 players. Every team has now played three games, and a handful of young players have already put their names up in lights.

The standouts so far

  • Adnit Jhamb (Northwest Renegades) leads the run charts with 199 runs in three innings, including a top score of 97 and two fifties, at a strike rate of 155 with 18 fours and 10 sixes. He came into USJL as the top wicket-taker in Minor League Cricket 2026.
  • Matthew Tromp (Northwest Renegades) has hit 109 runs off just 57 balls, a strike rate of 191, with a top score of 88 and a tournament-leading 11 sixes. He has also taken four catches.
  • Ali Sheikh (Seattle Seals) has 106 runs, a fifty and 10 sixes, plus four catches.
  • Ansh Rai (Denver Dynamites) has the best bowling so far: 6 wickets at an economy of 2.50, including 4 for 12.
  • Shuaib Syed (Denver Dynamites) also has 6 wickets, with figures of 3 for 7 and an economy of 3.75.
  • Sharv Saraykar (Austin Blaze, 4 for 15), Vardhan Handa (Dallas Thunders, 4 for 38) and Jai Gadam (Seattle Seals, 4 for 32) have all taken four-wicket hauls.
  • Nikhil Mudaliar (Dallas Thunders) leads the wicketkeepers with five catches behind the stumps.

  • Northwest Renegades 195/4 beat Mygo Chicago Kings by 23 runs.
  • Dallas Thunders beat Denver Dynamites (115) by 1 wicket.
  • Seattle Seals chased Austin Blaze’s 139/7 in 13.3 overs to win by 7 wickets.
  • Denver Dynamites beat Mygo Chicago Kings (96) by 5 wickets.
  • Austin Blaze beat Dallas Thunders (77) by 5 wickets.
  • Northwest Renegades 148/9 beat Seattle Seals by 8 runs.
